Success stories from our hired teachers

Don Lee

"I had gone to a job fair in San Francisco in February and on my return I was sitting in the airport very disappointed that I did not even get an interview despite my years of experience and glowing recommendations. When I received an email from Keith Bookwalter in Santa Marta, Colombia, saying that you had recommended me and asking for my CV that was a thrilling moment. You made the whole process not only possible, but nearly effortless on my part. Thank you, thank you."

"International Educators Society is a great way for schools to learn more in depth about a teacher without having to attend a fair. I did not have to undergo the stress of a recruiting fair. Since I didn't have to worry about travel, lodging and getting a rental car, ugh... I could focus on finding the school that best fit my needs. What I liked most was recruiters could see examples of me actually teaching in the classroom by way of video uploads, that I think really made difference opposed to just a traditional resume. I could rest assured that the school is confident in my abilities."

"I found Dr. McCombs to be very responsive to my all my questions. The process was so easy, talking with Barry during the preliminary was like speaking with an old friend. He really listened too me and I could tell he was going to connect me to school(s) I was looking for. Having been the President of the Tri-Association, Dr. McCombs is very familiar with all the participating schools and I could trust that his “match-making” would be successful. I was tremendously lucky to have him connect me with a school in Cartagena, Colombia, my first choice!"

Sincerely,

"I am so excited about the opportunity in Cartagena, Colombia. The Tri-Association Job Fair is a great resource for both teachers that want to teach abroad and schools that want English-speaking teachers."

Sincerely,

"My wife Patti and I have been looking for an international teaching position for a couple of years. We had gone to various job fairs only to be disappointed at the process, selection of school and costs endured. I was then directed to the Tri-Association Virtual Job Fair by a colleague. The idea was innovative, costs were more than reasonable and the process was virtually effortless. We simply registered on-line, completed our profiles, uploaded our photos and videos and in no time we were being contacted by member schools. We were contacted via email from a couple of schools, then had phone and Skype interviews. This coming school year Patti and I will be working in the Cayman Islands with CIS. The Tri-Association Virtual Job Fair is the way of the future. No longer will we drive far distances, pay high registration fees only to be disappointed time after time. We will continue to work with Tri-Association because it is user friendly, support staff are always there to assist you, and it works."

"My husband and I have been searching of an international teaching experience in the Caribbean for a couple of years. We have attended many of the largest and most prominent job fairs in the area, and unfortunately have had little success. It is difficult, if not impossible to find job fairs dedicated only to certain regions of the world. We were then introduced to Barry McCombs and the Tri-Association Virtual Job Fair. After completing our on-line registration and phone interview, we were given access to a virtual forum where we could directly contact school in Central America and the Caribbean. These school were also registered with Tri-Association, and therefore already had access to our profiles, resumes and photographs. This enables us to be more proactive in our search for employment. Mr. McCombs and the Tri-Association team were there every step of the way to guide and support us. We have since been offered a position in the Cayman Islands and we are very excited. We would highly recommend the Tri-Association Virtual Job Fair to any qualified teacher looking for international experience."
